Coldwell Banker is looking to expand

http://coldwellbankerjw.blogspot.com/
It appears that our Coldwell Banker office is getting too small for our growing real estate team. We are looking for a new commercial location right now and hoping to make the move before the year is over. If you know of a great commercial property that has room for us to grow don't hesitate to let us know.

Also we are always looking for new agents to join our Coldwell Banker real estate team.

New Coldwell Banker Business Cards to hand out

I've already been in the office a few days and have been really embarrassed to be handing out my old RE/MAX business cards to clients now that I'm with Coldwell Banker. Although I've been very busy with the 6 homes I have in escrow right now I felt the need to sneak in a little bit of time to order new cards.

When I first started in real estate my broker would buy my cards and at that time when I was low on funds I was very grateful but the quality was low and the cards were flimsy. I didn't exactly get negative comments on them (probably as people were trying to be nice) but I definitely was not getting compliments on them. After a couple years and after I had regular closings and the income that follows I spent a lot of time trying to make the perfect card. There were not many companies out there that specialized in real estate cards at that time. My options were to hire a designer and take the files they make to a print shop or to order them from the hand full of shops online. I have been burned by bad graphic designers in the past so I wasn't excited to try that route as many times they charge a lot and there is no guarantee of the results. Because of that I focused on the online places. Merill is the most popular but I didn't like the dated look of the designs and since many people order from them you look the same as everyone else when you order there. The last thing I wanted was to get lost in the shuffle.

I ended up ordering the old business cards from sacdigital.com as I really liked one of their designs and they they seemed the most likely to put up with a super picky, pain the butt like myself, ha! After a long process (I'm a perfectionist) I finally got the cards and I loved them so much that I have been using them ever since. The only time I changed it was to update the photo every now and them but everything else remained the same. Agent marketing materials are not exactly the type of thing that people go crazy about but I do get compliments on them fairly often.

Because I liked the last cards the guys at sacdigital did so much I asked what they could do for me this time around. I first went to the Coldwell Banker business card page and looked through the Coldwell Banker templates. I saw what I liked on the front but you know me, I just had to make my own changes and tweaks. Since I'm still waiting on the new photos I had taken I wasn't able to get the photo on there and I'm still waiting on the Coldwell Banker office to get me my fax number and email that I want on my new ards. Despite all this they were still good sports and sent me a general layout proof of the Coldwell Banker Business Cards:

As you can see from the above I got them to add a spot for a QR code as I figured it was time to get with the times. I also wanted to give the black background a shot along with the round corners as I saw another agent with them the other day and it really stood out from the stack of cards I have at home from other realtors.

I might make a couple more tweaks to my new cards before they go off to the press but for now I'm really liking them. Since the front will be black I will leave the back in white so I can write something on it if I need to. Always nice to write a time down or and mls number or address in a pinch. Let me know what you think of the cards though as that's what really matters. I'm hoping that I will have my photos tomorrow and the fax and email should be resolved by the end of the week so I can hurry up and get my new Coldwell Banker business cards. My previous clients of course can expect a mailing soon with cards from yours truly.

Coldwell Banker Realty business blog first post

My name is Jessica Wei and I'm a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker "Jumping into my first post!"

After working at Remax for a number of years I recently have made the switch to Coldwell Banker Real Estate. After the broker in charge left the company people started to slowly leave and eventually the members of my real estate team wanted to switch as well.

I have to say that the switch has been fairly painless and I'm really enjoy being in the office with the same team. We truly do have the best Realtors and support staff and you just feel like everyone is on the same team and that we all share the same common goal: "Making the client happy."

Since switching companies I have been reminded by the things I had been putting off like giving in and starting this blog. I'm always being asked what the market is like, what the trends are and what's up ahead and it will be so much nicer to be able to have it all written down and really be able to better help everyone get the best deal when buying and the highest price when selling. Of course besides the trends the thing that most people are bugging me about is my next home report that includes all of the research into finding those rare gem homes that are under-priced or have a unique situation that allows you to snatch them up for the least cost possible.

I hope you will follow my posts as I plan to have powerful tidbits of information that will save/make you money in the real estate business.
